Dermal Filler

As you have undergone a dermal filler treatment you may be initially swollen, red and bruised, which will go down within the next 2 weeks.
-
It is advisable that you do not touch the area for 6-8 hours.
-
Look out for any discolouration or paleness.
-
Do not apply make-up or any cosmetics for up to 6-8 hours.
-
Avoid smoking or vaping for 6-8 hours.
-
Avoid direct sunlight, UV, extreme heat ie, sauna, steam rooms, sun beds etc for 2 weeks.
-
Avoid extreme cold; this includes ice packs that are directly applied to the skin. If necessary, you can apply a cool compress to the area to reduce any swelling.

Arnica tablets can be used to help reduce bruising.
-
If any lumps occur, a gentle massage helps to smooth this out.

Anti-wrinkle injections
-
Any injections into the skin can cause bruising, swelling and redness, this can take up to 2 weeks to settle.
-
Avoid touching or applying products on the treated area for the next 6-8 hours.

Keep upright for 4 hours/Avoid sleeping for the next 4 hours.
-
The results will typically start to show after 3-4 days. The maximum effect will be at 2 weeks.
-
Keep the muscles moving in your face by doing big facial expressions.
-
Avoid sun exposure and UV for 2 weeks.
-
A cold pack can help you reduce the swelling and minimise bruising, but it's important to avoid pressure.
-
No strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
-
The treated area may initially feel tight, this will settle over the next 2 weeks.

The effect of botox will typically last 3-6 months but may be less depending on your lifestyle. The duration will be less with: Smoking, alcohol, sunbeds, high metabolism, exercise and stress.
Fat dissolving

Keep the area clean.
-
Massage the area well for 2/3 weeks post treatment.

Gentle exercise is advised.

No ice directly on the area, you can use an ice pack to aid swelling in a clean cloth.

Use arnica cream or tablets to reduce bruising.
-
Drink 2/3 litres of water a day, this will speed up the treatments as the fat cells come out through the urine.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle.

No ibuprofen for 72 hours.
-
Avoid strenuous exercise for 4-5 days.
-
Avoid swimming or sunbeds for 3 days.
-
Do not apply make up or skincare to area for 12 hours.

Avoid smoking and alcohol for 24 hours post treatment.

Skin Boosters

During the first 24-48 hours after the treatment, you will experience redness, swelling and tenderness, this is normal.

Avoid wearing makeup or touching your face after the treatment for 6-8 hours. This will help to reduce the risk of any potential infection.

After the treatment, please avoid physical exercise for 24 hours.
-
Avoid having further cosmetic procedures for 1 week, eg. facial, facial waxing, chemical peels or IPL treatments.
-
Avoid extreme heat and UV for 2 weeks, ie, sauna, steam rooms, sunbeds etc

If you go to sleep in the next 6-8 hours change your pillowcase to minimise the risk of bacteria and infection.

Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol for 24 hours.

You may apply cold compresses to reduce swelling or discomfort.

In order to get the best results a course of treatments is recommended.

Microneedling

After treatment, it’s quite normal for redness and skin sensitivity for 24-48 hours following treatment.
-
Keep the area clean, ensuring your hands are clean when touching your face.
-
Do not apply any other products to your skin for 24 hours.

Avoid extreme temperatures such as saunas, steam baths, etc for a period of at least 7 days after the treatment.

Avoid sunbeds and wear SPF 30-50 when outdoors to protect your skin from direct sun exposure. If you fail to protect your skin from sun exposure, you will be at risk of uneven pigmentation and sunburn.

Stay hydrated, it is so important after a microneedling procedure because water is essential to the collagen-creation process. Water is the main component of all cells in the body so the more hydrated you are, the healthier collagen cells your body can produce.

If your skin feels dry after the treatment you may use a moisturiser or gel to soothe the skin, products containing hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and retinol are particularly effective.

Avoid any facial skin procedures for 2 weeks (chemical peels, facials, or any injection based treatments)
For best results, a course of treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart.
Dermaplaning

Avoid make-up for 24-48hrs after treatment for best results.

It is important to moisturize your freshly exfoliated skin regularly to rehydrate it.

Products containing hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and retinol are particularly effective post dermaplaning treatment.

Avoid direct sunlight and wear SPF30-50 when outside for 1 to 2 weeks following the treatment as your skin may be more sensitive.

Avoid the use of saunas or steam rooms and avoid any strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Follow a very simple skincare routine for 2 weeks post-treatment. Cleanse your skin gently using water only or a very mild cleanser.

Avoid the use of exfoliating scrubs for at least one week after treatment.
-
Avoid facial waxing for 7 days
-
Do not have any other facial treatment for two weeks after treatment.
